Word On The Street is a monthly Queer comedy night highlighting all shades of funny from the Global South. This comedy night is an intersectional attempt by a Queer POC producer herself to pass the mic to some of Berlin's finest acts, internationally touring comedians, and upcoming hilarious BIPOC and/or TIN (Trans, Intersex, Non-Binary) and/or GNC (Gender Non Conforming) and/or other Queer gems who will take the stage to make you laugh. The event is open to everyone, only the lineup is BIPOC and/or Queer abundant, so bring your lovers, queers and allies. It is also a space to experiment and play with different genres of comedy like - musical comedy, improv comedy, storytelling comedy, sketch comedy, satire and stand up comedy to name a few.

Chiqui Love — from the Venezuelan plains to the world — is a seasoned figure of cabaret, bringing to life stories that transport audiences to the vibrant, unseen corners of the night — revealing with warmth, wit, and a touch of mischief the human side of the secret world of night workers and the realities behind the taboos. Firm believer on workers’ rights and specially the decriminalization of sex work, she will be hosting her own show soon at Tipsy bear on December 29th “The House of Whoredinary People” to give protagonism to queer sex workers, our stories, our struggles and our sexy talents! we are here, we are queer and we charge by the hour!
Kakao Katzê is a DJ, community organizer, curator and host from Berlin. She’s been djing for more than 15 years and always wanted to see more women* of Colour behind the decks. She is also the founder and organizer of the all-Asian event series “VOICEMAIL” and the “Queer Asian Calendar”.

Through her art and advocacy, she champions bodily autonomy, consent, and freedom of choice—because her rebellion is ritual, and her aftercare is rooted in ancestry.
