KABARET! The Queer Berlin Musical - produced by König and directed by Buba Sababa - is a full theatrical variety show that reclaims the legacy of Cabaret, the musical.
Set in the heart of Berlin’s underground scene, this live-singing show brings together queer immigrants from around the world who, using the music from the original musical, tell new, unapologetically queer stories that draw parallels between the rise of fascism 100 years ago and the political situation we face nowadays.
With live music, drag, burlesque, stripping, circus, and freak performances, KABARET unites Berlin’s queer scenes in one powerful and political celebration of queer life and resilience — while refusing to look away from history repeating itself.
