The Cabaret of LaDoll — by and for the deviants — where freaks reclaim the pointing fingers, and where mad, almost-dead dolls begin to speak.
A neo-traditional cabaret revue centered on the resonances between the legacy of freak shows and queer life, featuring music, circus, drag, dance, variety, and sideshow acts. This production brings together both local and international artists.
The idea is to elevate a wide range of spectacular cabaret practices while infusing them with intimacy and political depth, making this revue a mirror of today’s world — just as cabaret has always been.
The plurality of cabaret — of the identities and art forms it shelters — will reign supreme, as will the encounter with diverse artists.
By creating connections around our artistic practices on stage, the Cabaret Pins & Needles opens new horizons both for the audience and behind the scenes.
